The Old Town Data Center represents our privately owned and operated infrastructure footprint within Europe. We deliberately prioritize sovereignty and operational independence, minimizing reliance on third-party providers to reduce external risk vectors and ensure full control over performance, security, and availability.
Our infrastructure is designed around horizontal scalability. By distributing workloads across parallel nodes, we eliminate traditional scaling bottlenecks and maintain predictable performance under load. This philosophy enforces architectural discipline. Software must be lightweight, modular, and capable of running efficiently even on constrained environments such as single-board systems.
Our network perimeter is secured through a strategic partnership with OPNsense, a highly advanced open-source firewall and routing platform. The deployment is fully redundant, operating in high-availability (HA) mode to ensure uninterrupted protection, failover resilience, and continuous traffic inspection.
The network fabric is built on enterprise-grade UniFi switching infrastructure. We enforce strict segmentation between management and internal traffic, significantly reducing the attack surface and containing potential lateral movement within the environment.
OTDC is located in a hardened underground facility engineered for maximum physical security. Access is tightly controlled through biometric authentication, including retina scanning, reinforced by a bank-grade vault door. The site is monitored continuously via 24/7 active surveillance, complemented by additional undisclosed security mechanisms.
